In an effort to connect our families with resources available, we have compiled a list of educational and financial opportunities available to help. The resources and grants listed here are for informational purposes only and is not intended for medical or legal advice. We attempt to make updates to the information, but please know availability and funding changes frequently.

ACT Today –Act Today awards grants up to $5,000 with priority given to families with household income less than $100,000. Funding may be used for speech therapy, occupational therapy, medication, and home safety devices. There are quarterly grant deadlines.

Bridge to Healing –Bridge to Healing helps people receive the therapies they need.
Bright Steps Forward –Bright Steps Forward provides funding for intensive pediatric therapy for children diagnosed with neurological disorders.
Chrysalis Fund –Chrysalis Fund offers educational grants focused on special needs children.
Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) –ECI is a statewide program (Texas) that supports families of children with special needs aged birth to three years. Evaluations are of no cost to families and treatment services offered on a sliding scale fee.

Easter Seals –Easter Seals provides services for children and adults with disabilities and/or special needs.

Medicaid Waivers –Medicaid Waivers help provide services to people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and Autism. Benefits vary by state.
Modest Needs –Modest Needs provides short-term financial assistance to individuals and families in temporary crisis, such as homelessness, needing automobile repairs, unable to pay bills due to unemployment, etc.

United Way –United Way helps solve problems with programs targeting education, income, and health. Grants available to cover costs for therapy.
Variety International Children’s Fund –Variety International Children’s Fund provides funding for equipment, products, and services needed for children.
Variety Texas –Variety Texas provides funding for equipment, products, and services needed for children.

The Aid for Autistic Children Foundation has financial assistance and charitable grants of up to $150,000 in total debt relief per household.

Autism Cares Foundation
Autism Cares website offers a direct link to the registration process for a Financial Support Award. This collaborative agency offers funding to families across the United States who are living with Autism and also coping with a major crisis, such as flood or fire. Autism Cares assists families who meet the eligibility criteria to cover costs associated with housing, automobile repair, insurance premiums, medical care, prescriptions, daycare, funeral expenses, and other items on a case-by-case basis. Income cap of $40,000 per family.

Blooming with Autism provides iPads to individuals with Autism that cannot afford them, as well as coverage for therapies. $60,000 annual income cap and grants for $2,000 for therapy.

Sunshine Foundation answers the dreams of children who are chronically or seriously ill or physically challenged-ages 3-18 years.
